The Zhengzhou High tech Zone Domestic Waste Sorting Center Project is located in the High tech Zone of Zhengzhou City, Henan Province, covering an area of 19.7 acres. It focuses on the centralized resource utilization of various urban solid wastes, including 36000 tons/year of domestic waste, 21600 tons/year of kitchen waste, 7200 tons/year of fruit and vegetable waste, 14400 tons/year of large garbage/garden waste, 14400 tons/year of recyclable waste, 10 tons/day of waste textile waste, and 1 ton/day of hazardous waste storage. It is also a demonstration base for garbage classification education.

The disposal process of kitchen waste, kitchen waste, fruit and vegetable waste, recyclable waste, etc. is mechanical sorting. After bag breaking, screening, magnetic separation, air selection, robot sorting and other processes, recyclable materials such as plastic bags, plastic bottles, metals, cardboard, etc. are sorted out. The remaining organic waste is transported for incineration after compression and dehydration. After meeting the standards for sewage treatment, it will be discharged outside. Large scale garbage and garden garbage are crushed, reduced in volume, and magnetically separated before being transported for incineration. Textile waste is sorted and sold externally.
